Grenade boss to inspire future entrepreneurs through event

Alan Barratt, co-founder and CEO of Solihull-headquartered nutrition brand Grenade, will be speaking about his experiences as an entrepreneur during an event next month.

The 'In Conversation with Grenade ' webinar will be held by the Solihull Chamber of Commerce on 3 August at 2pm.

The event is aimed at young professionals/entrepreneurs and Solihull businesses seeking inspiration from one of the most successful, locally founded businesses.

Grenade has become one of the UK 's most successful FMCG brands of the last 25 years.

From starting with just a £500 loan in 2010, to selling shares in the company in 2021 for £200million to Mondelez International, Grenade has experienced explosive growth since its inception.

Grenade has been featured in the Virgin Fast Track 100 for seven consecutive years , with no signs of slowing down.

Their signature product, Carb Killa, is currently the bestselling chocolate bar in the UK grocery channel, disrupting the entire confectionary category for the first time in over 50 years.

Alan (pictured) himself has won UK Entrepreneur of the Year three times and has invaluable experience in going head to head with industry giants.

In sharing his story, Alan will expose the highs and lows of building a disruptive global brand and overcoming adversity in the process.
