Future Faces Chamber of Commerce held a professional development event at Millennium Point, where Gymshark’s head of Performance and Culture Ad Davies gave an inspiring talk on leadership.

Ad spoke about his own leadership journey, as well as why young professionals choose leadership, how they should lead and what questions need to be asked in order to be a good leader.

A quote from Ad that resonated with a lot of the attendees was: “If you try to be everyone’s cup of tea, you end up being a mug.”

The event was sponsored by Yakinori, who provided delicious Japanese cuisine for the attendees.

Tara Mahoney, operations manager at Yakinori, said: “Yakinori are a proud sponsor of this event, providing a taste of their authentic Japanese cuisine for our Future Faces members. Being a family run independent, Yakinori has empowered its leadership teams to support its employees as they deliver a great guest experience.

“They have now launched their corporate offerings including event catering and team building events, including their popular sushi masterclasses. If you would like any more information regarding these, please contact tara@yakinori.co.uk.”

Sophie Poduval-Morrell, Future Faces manager, said: “Ad Davies was vulnerable, honest and thought-provoking in his session on Leadership. Paired with some delicious food from Yakinori, what an event!”
