Burton Chamber of Commerce president Shaun Gray voiced his opinion on the recent closure of the town 's H&M store.

The popular retail chain, which opened in 2018, closed its Burton store located next to the Coopers Square shopping centre closed on Sunday, 15 January.

Speaking about the closure, Shaun Gray (pictured) said: “It is a shame another major high street brand has closed in Burton.

“The wider Burton economy outside of retail is very robust and growing well, Burton town centre needs to find a solution to reinvent itself.

“As a Chamber we are passionate about all areas of the town, business and community and willing to work with all parties to help find a sustainable future for the town centre so it will once again be a thriving part of town and attract and retain such major high street brands in the future. ”
