Birmingham Community Healthcare (BCHC) Charity is hosting a free family fun day to help families learn about living healthily.

The event is set to happen at the Midlands Art Centre (MAC) on Wednesday 26 October from 10am to 4pm.

There will be plenty of opportunities to take part in, such as craft sessions, sports activities and music interactive workshops.

A chance to become a CPR Superstar will also be there by lessons on how to resuscitate someone. Attendees will also find out more about healthy eating and collect free packet of seeds as a part of the 'grow your own ' campaign.

The day will also offer a six-star health challenge where people can collect a postcard on arrival, visit all of star stands to collect the stickers and receive a prize at the end of the visit.

Resuscitation trainer Adam Bunce-Sweeney said: “Thanks to NHS Charities Together supporting our Early Intervention project we are able to provide a fun filled day that raises awareness of keeping healthy in Birmingham, especially as we come up to the winter months.

“As part of this my passion is to get as many adults and children (including my own son) knowing the basic steps of CPR. When preformed in the first few minutes of a cardiac arrest, CPR can double or triple a person 's chance of survival ”

Tickets are not needed to attend.
