Half-term sports programme encourages young people to get active
A programme of free sport sessions has been arranged for young people in Lichfield District to enjoy over the half term break.
Lichfield District Council 's Active Lichfield team has scheduled the sessions from Monday 24 October to Friday 28 October to take place at venues in Lichfield and Burntwood.
There is soft archery for 7-14 year-olds, football for 12-19 year-olds, multi sports for 7-15 year-olds, dodgeball for 9-15 year-olds and boxing for 10-19 year-olds, together with a Glow Sports Halloween Special for 7-14 year-olds with spooky costumes encouraged.
The programme culminates with an Indoor Getin2it Zone activity session in partnership with Active Communities.
Lichfield District Council 's cabinet member for leisure, councillor Andy Smith, said: “Getin2it offers a host of great activities for young people over the October half term break.
“They are all free to enjoy and there is no need to book to take part - just come along and join in. ”

All participants are required to complete a Getin2it Participant Consent Form if they have not previously attended sessions.
