Headline sponsor announced for Business in Burton event
An accountancy firm with over 40 years of experience supporting firms in the region has been announced as the headline sponsor for the Chamber's upcoming Business in Burton event.
Alexander Accountancy will be supporting the event, taking place on Wednesday, 18 November at Branston Golf & Country Club from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm.
It is set to bring local businesses for a day of exhibiting, networking and seminars, with all proceeds being donated to Kids’ Village charity.
Exhibitor stands are free of charge with exhibitors invited to make a £20 donation on arrival to Kids’ Village, Burton & District Chamber’s Charity of the Year.
The accountancy firm has a rich history of start-ups through to established small enterprises in Burton-on-Trent and East Staffordshire.
Their core business objective centres on providing strategic accounting expertise that enables business leaders to make confident decisions, overcome challenges and transform ambitious goals into measurable success.
During the event, chairman of the firm David Alexander will deliver a seminar covering Making Tax Digital (MTD) for Income Tax Self Assessment (ITSA).
Making Tax Digital for Income Tax is HMRC’s new system for sole traders and landlords to report income and expenses digitally rather than relying solely on an annual Self-Assessment tax return.
The seminar will explain who it affects and when the changes will come into place alongside the requirements of the taxpayer and how it impacts landlords.

Bookings are now open for all Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce members. Non-member bookings will open on 1 October.
