Healthcare co-founders triumph at ‘Grammys of Entrepreneurship’
UB Healthcare co-founders Uko Umotong and Harry Bourton have been named Start-Up Entrepreneurs of the Year – Midlands.
Often described as the ‘Grammys of Entrepreneurship’, the event at the Grosvenor Marriott in London brought together more than 1,000 entrepreneurs, innovators, and industry leaders from across the UK to celebrate outstanding entrepreneurial achievement.
The recognition places UB Healthcare among the most exciting and impactful emerging businesses in the country.
Founded in 2022, UB Healthcare has established itself as a trusted partner to NHS organisations across the UK, delivering high-quality Continuing Healthcare (CHC) and community-based services, and supporting private clients in finding appropriate care.
With a growing team of 30 colleagues and over 50 associates, the company is committed to transforming outcomes for vulnerable individuals and strengthening the health and care ecosystem.
Uko Umotong said: “We set up UB Healthcare to improve outcomes for the most vulnerable people and communities – challenging organisations that focus on margins rather than individuals, while creating value and efficiencies for our NHS partners and clients.
“This recognition is a reminder that doing the right thing, the right way, truly matters.”
Harry Bourton added: “To have started this business in 2022 and grown to a team of over 30 colleagues and more than 50 associates is something we are immensely proud of.
“This award is a testament to every single person who has helped build UB Healthcare into what it is today. We are also proud to be deeply embedded in our local community in Solihull, where our journey began and continues to thrive.”
