Hotel manager recognised as top industry talent

Commercial office manager of Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre Clare Barnbrook had made it onto the miaList 2022 which recognises the hotel industry 's finest talents.

Clare was singled out from a record 15 finalists for the “hospitality Oscars ” for her leadership skills and received an individual achievement award at a lavish ceremony attended by 250 events professionals.

She was cited as a great example of a leader, and for continually thinking about the wider team.

Billy Harris, Head of commercial at the hotel said Clare was passionate about her job and had taken staff development to a new level, mentoring colleagues and creating training sessions and detailed plans for every team member.

She had developed the growth of revenues and customer service, particularly within meetings and events and recently took on a learning and development trainer role.

Billy said: “Clare always goes above and beyond the call of duty and she plays an instrumental role in Edgbaston Park Hotel 's success. We are incredibly proud of her!

“She was up against some of the most talented and ambitious people in the hospitality industry and her talent really shone out. We are lucky to have her in our team. ”

Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre is nestled in an enviably leafy location on the University of Birmingham campus, just a short drive from the city centre.
