Husband and wife team expand care business
Husband and wife team, Indy and Kam Goraya, owners of Bluebird Care Solihull, have launched a new social care branch in Birmingham.
The duo have established Bluebird Care Birmingham West, having acquired Bluebird Care Solihull in March.
The two branches are part of national social care franchise Bluebird Care.
Indy and Kam say they are determined to apply their skills, knowledge and experience to something they feel is not only more meaningful, but one that has also impacted their personal lives.
The pair both previously worked in the finance industry, before acquiring Bluebird Care.
Indy holds an ACA having qualified as a chartered accountant with PwC.
After leaving PwC, he worked in corporate finance across transaction services and mergers and acquisitions with both Deloitte and Spectrum Corporate Finance.
He helped set up their London office in Mayfair to enhance their offering across the city.
Indy moved back to the Midlands in 2018 where he was recruited by BGF, the world 's most active growth capital investor, in their Birmingham office, before departing in March to take over Bluebird.
Alongside Bluebird, Indy is a mentor to start-up business at Brunstwood, a non-executive director at a start-up recruitment business and advises multiple independent businesses on growth strategy.

Kam started her career as an analyst with global accounting firm EY in their London Advisory team, providing business performance and transformation advice to various clients across the healthcare and utilities sectors.
In 2013, she moved to US consulting firm, Protiviti, where she joined their Internal Audit and Financial Advisory team and qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
Kam left Protiviti in May to join Indy in the running of Bluebird Care Solihull and the launch of their offering across Birmingham.

Birmingham West covers a large region, including Edgbaston, Harborne, Moseley, Kings Heath, Kings Norton, Longbridge, Northfield and Rednal. The office in Solihull not only serves central Solihull but also the surrounding areas including Knowle, Balsall Common, Dorridge, Hampton-in Arden and Meriden.
