International and cross-border lawyer promoted to partner
Stone King, a national law firm with a thriving Birmingham branch, has named a new partner.
Charlotte Macdonald (pictured) joined Stone King as a trainee solicitor in 2013, qualifying into the firm’s trust and estates team in 2015, before moving to the international and cross-border team in 2016.
Within Stone King’s international and cross-border training regime, she has become recognised as a highly technical and competent cross-border lawyer.
Charlotte is a full member of STEP (the Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners) and, to increase her cross-border knowledge, has also achieved, with distinctions, the specialist STEP advanced certificates in Cross-Border Estate Administrations and UK Tax for International Clients.
She deals exclusively with work which includes an international or cross-border element.

Charlotte’s work includes providing detailed cross-border estate planning and tax advice, preparing wills for international and UK-based clients and administering complex cross-border estate administrations.
She said: “It is wonderful to have been promoted to partner. I joined Stone King as a trainee, so to have worked my way up and to have been given the opportunity to represent the firm’s values, as well as help to shape its future, is very exciting”.
