Internationally-focused West Midlands firms invited to register for UK Trade and Export Finance Forum
Businesses across the West Midlands looking to grow internationally are being encouraged to register for the UK Trade and Export Finance Forum 2027.
Now in its ninth year, the Forum brings together nearly 1,000 delegates for a day of networking, expert insights, practical workshops and opportunities to connect with organisations that can help businesses expand into overseas markets.
The event will cover the latest developments in international trade and export finance and showcase the support available to companies at every stage of their export journey.
For many businesses, securing finance, managing risk and navigating unfamiliar markets can be some of the biggest challenges to exporting.
UK Export Finance (UKEF), the UK's export credit agency, works alongside banks and other finance providers to help businesses overcome these barriers.
UKEF can help UK companies win contracts overseas, access working capital to fulfil orders, and provide insurance against the risk of non-payment.
UKEF’s regional network of Export Finance Managers provide free and impartial guidance to businesses seeking to understand what support may be available to them.
Mark Sankey, export finance manager for Black Country, Staffordshire and Shropshire, said: "West Midlands businesses are ambitious, innovative and increasingly looking beyond the UK for growth opportunities.
“The UK Trade and Export Finance Forum is a valuable opportunity for companies to hear directly from trade and finance experts, make new connections and learn about the practical support available to help them grow internationally.
"Whether you're an experienced exporter or just beginning to explore overseas markets, the Forum offers insights and contacts that can help turn opportunities into reality."
The Forum will feature discussions on trade and finance trends, opportunities to meet senior representatives from major international companies, and dedicated networking sessions with UKEF's regional teams and partners.
Attendees will also be able to learn more about the range of government-backed support available to help businesses export with confidence.
Businesses interested in attending can find out more and register via the Forum website. Registration is subject to review by UKEF.
