Birmingham investment management firm continues to expand

Birmingham based boutique investment management firm EFG Harris Allday has welcomed two senior colleagues.

Rupert Cecil (pictured) and Anthony Snowden will be joining the firm as head of charities & philanthropy and director and investment manager respectively.

Rupert has built over thirty years of investment experience and will be working across their four offices.

Prior to joining EFG Harris Allday he was head of charities and philanthropy at Brown Shipley, and before held similar roles at UBP and HSBC Private Bank. He is an associate of the CFA, member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals and a Chartered Fellow of the CISI.

Rupert is also personally involved with several charities outside of work. He is a trustee of the Sir Bobby Charlton Foundation and sits on the Maanch advisory board.

Rupert is also a Patron of the Royal Institution of Great Britain and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation where he chairs their Challenge Events Committee and has run the London Marathon eight times for the charity.

Rupert will focus on developing EFG Harris Allday’s charity relationships, with both new and existing clients. He will work alongside Investment Managers to offer guidance and support where required. Rupert will also lead EFG Harris Allday’s future charitable partnerships. 

Anthony Snowden, director and investment manager will be joining the London office, predominantly working with private clients and intermediaries. Previously Anthony worked at Ruffer as an investment manager for twelve years, where he managed portfolios on behalf of private clients, financial advisers, charities, and pension schemes. He is a Chartered Fellow (FCSI) with industry-leading expertise managing global, multi-asset portfolios.

In his role Anthony will manage both the ongoing client relationships, whilst undertaking the day-to-day investment management responsibility on behalf of his clients. He will work alongside George Marling, Director and Investment Manager to further develop the client base in London and the surrounding area. 

Their team of chartered investment managers hold an average of over 20 years’ experience.
