First Class Technologies, a Lichfield-based IT business is celebrating its 25th anniversary this year.

The company has been providing managed IT support services to businesses and educational establishments across the wider Midlands region since it started trading in 1997.

First Class Technologies provides customer service to clients ranging from small local businesses to large educational academy trusts.

The business has been situated on Britannia Way in Lichfield since day one, relocating on the same street in 2010.

Since then, the building has provided a commercial base for First Class Technologies and other businesses needing high quality office suite accommodation in the city.

2022 will be a memorable year for First Class Technologies, as Rob Bruce, one of First Class Technologies ' engineers, is also celebrating his 25th birthday milestone - making it a joint celebration.

To celebrate the anniversary, First Class Technologies is holding a number of events throughout the year. The first event is a charity quiz night at Lichfield Golf & Country Club on the evening of Thursday 10 March.

Teams of four are invited to enter and proceeds from the evening will be donated to the Community Foundation for Staffordshire.

Reflecting on the business ' anniversary, Richard Hinton, managing director, said: “The last 25 years has seen vast changes in technological advancement. I mean, when we started the business back in 1997 information technology was something predominantly used in offices or educational environments, whereas today we use IT in all areas of our lives! And as technology has advanced, so has our reliance on it - both personally and commercially - which has made the services First Class offers to its clients increasingly more important.

“These days, most businesses are completely dependent on their IT infrastructure. I feel fortunate to have been involved in the IT developments over the last few decades, such as seeing the growth of email and smartphone communication, and how access to the internet has become such a vital aspect of our day-to-day lives.

“I 'm so proud of what First Class Technologies has accomplished over the last 25 years, but none of it would have been possible without the support of our staff, colleagues, partners and clients. I 'd like to thank everyone who has played a part in our journey and look forward to what the next 25 years holds! ”
