IT business joins forces with Chamber charity of the year
Solihull Chamber of Commerce's charity of the year, Arrive Alive, has joined forces with LeapIT.
The IT business has been welcomed by the charity as its first corporate charity ambassador.
Solihull based LeapIT have previously supported Arrive Alive with the provision of IT equipment to assist with raising vital charity funding during the coronavirus lockdowns.
As Arrive Alive's first corporate charity ambassadors, LeapIT will assist with funding additional lifesaving vehicles and equipment.
Each of the Arrive Alive vehicles have still been operational throughout the pandemic attending 999 calls and helping to save lives within communities.
An Arrive Alive vehicle can arrive to the scene of a 999 medical emergency within those vital minutes prior to a road or air ambulance due to being based directly within the heart of the community. Each of the vehicles is operated by medically trained volunteers known as Community First Responders and are dispatched via a 999 call to West Midlands Ambulance Service.
Commenting on the new partnership, Stuart Watson (pictured), managing director of LeapIT, said: “The work the Arrive Alive team do to be an additional resource for West Midlands Ambulance Service is quite literally saving lives.
"Arrive Alive receive no funding from the NHS or Government, all of the voluntary operated lifesaving 999 vehicles and equipment are funded by donations. Leap IT are proud ambassadors of Arrive Alive and committed to help wherever we can to support this amazing charity. ”
Arrive Alive 's charitable income has drastically been impacted due to pandemic related restrictions.
West Midlands Ambulance Services have identified nine areas of the West Midlands where additional vehicles and equipment are urgently required to save lives.
Debbie Roscoe, from Arrive Alive, added: “We are thrilled to welcome LeapIT as the first corporate ambassadors of Arrive Alive, their support is greatly appreciated by the Arrive Alive team and has been a welcome moral boost.
"We look forward to working with LeapIT over the coming month in addition to being Solihull Chamber of Commerce charity of the year."
