IT business welcomes new apprentice
A local business has added to its growing team by taking on a new apprentice.
Nathan Knowles has joined First Class Technologies in the role of technical apprentice.
Having started in the role last month, Nathan has settled in well as a member of the support desk team at the business ' head office in Lichfield.
Nathan (pictured) explains how his first few weeks working in the business has already equipped him with exciting new skills. He said: “I 'm really enjoying working at First Class Technologies, getting to know the processes and systems and finding out more about the clients. It 's a lovely supportive team to work in.
“I 'm so pleased I chose the apprenticeship route, as I get to earn money working first-hand in a successful IT business, whilst being mentored by experienced staff and studying for a work-based qualification. It 's a great foundation to build a career on. ”

Nathan has succeeded Jamie Blunt in the support desk function. Jamie completed his apprenticeship in 2021 and is now an established member of the First Class Technologies support desk team.
Jamie said: “It 's great having a new apprentice join the business, as I remember how it was when I first joined the team, so I 'm able to share my experiences with Nathan to help him learn the ropes. It 's also made me realise how far I 've come over the last few years in terms of my own knowledge and abilities. ”
