IT group wins top award for AI-powered service innovation
A managed IT service provider has been named the winner of Rewst’s Automation & AI Excellence Award 2026.
Air IT Group received the global recognition for its pioneering use of automation, artificial intelligence to reimagine how managed IT services are delivered.
The award was presented at FLOW 2026 in Nashville, Tennessee and recognises MSPs that are successfully using automation and AI to deliver measurable business impact.
The win builds on Air IT Group's growing partnership with Rewst, having also been named Rewst Partner of the Year in 2025. Together, these awards recognise Air IT Group's role in helping lead the next evolution of managed services.
With more than 1,500 MSPs worldwide using the Rewst platform, the award places Air IT Group among the industry's leading innovators helping shape the future of AI-powered service delivery.
The recognition centres on Neuron, Air IT Group's AI and automation platform, developed by its Automation, Data and AI teams.
Rather than relying solely on off-the-shelf AI tools, Air IT Group has built its own capabilities to bring automation and AI-powered insights directly into engineers' day-to-day workflows, creating a faster, smarter and more seamless experience for customers.
The platform forms part of a wider automation strategy that is helping Air IT Group improve operational efficiency while delivering a faster and more consistent experience for customers.
As businesses continue to explore the potential of AI, many are still searching for practical ways to create measurable value.
Air IT Group has focused on moving beyond experimentation, embedding automation and AI into everyday operations to transform how services are delivered.
Today, the business executes more than 160 million automated actions every month, saving over 2,500 employee hours each month - equivalent to work more than 20 full-time employees.
Customer self-service adoption has increased by 78 per cent year to date, while 95 per cent of self-service requests are completed in under five minutes.
The business has also achieved a 40 per cent increase in automation usage through AI-powered recommendations, helping teams work more efficiently and consistently while freeing engineers to focus on solving more valuable customer challenges.
Peter Pendlebury, (pictured) Chief Automation and AI Officer at Air IT Group, said: “Winning the Rewst Excellence Award for Best Use of Automation and AI is a proud moment for Air.
“This recognition from Rewst is a credit to the innovation and dedication of our data, automation and AI teams.

Barney Taylor, CEO at Air IT Group added: “It is fantastic to receive this AI and Automation recognition and win a second major award in two years from Rewst. Building on the success we've already achieved together, we are driven by a vision to give our customers an exceptional experience.
“Through our newly developed AI platform, we are bringing Automation and AI-powered insights into one place, giving one-click access and all the information our service and operational teams need to immediately resolve issues.
“Tasks that used to take 10 minutes can now be completed in 10 seconds, which means our customers get the fast, seamless support they need to stay productive. We are incredibly proud to be recognised again by Rewst.”
Charlie Tomeo, chief revenue officer at Rewst, said: "Air IT Group has invested in automation and AI at every level of the business, from the boardroom to their frontline engineers.
“Getting engineers to adopt AI in the tools they already work in is one of the harder problems in this industry. Air IT Group solved it."
This latest recognition follows a period of significant investment in AI and automation across the business and reinforces Air IT Group's position as a leader in AI-powered managed services.
