IT Helpdesk Ltd has announced a new partnership with SARAC (Sexual Abuse Rape Advice Centre), a Burton-based charity that provides free, confidential counselling and emotional support for survivors of sexual abuse and violence.

This collaboration marks a significant step in a wider initiative to raise awareness and strengthen support for vulnerable individuals in the local community.

SARAC, the Burton Chamber's chosen charity partner, plays a vital role in supporting individuals across Burton and the surrounding areas.

Through this collaboration, IT Helpdesk aims to help amplify SARAC’s voice, support its work, and encourage other local businesses to engage in positive social impact.

The joint initiative will include awareness campaigns, fundraising efforts, and digital collaboration opportunities designed to extend SARAC’s reach and empower the local community.

Education is key to prevention, early intervention, and long-term support — and is a core theme of this partnership.

Imran Ahmed, commercial manager of IT Helpdesk Ltd said: “As SARAC’s mission aligns closely with our values, we’re incredibly proud to be working together on this meaningful project.

“Community support goes beyond technology—it’s about creating a safer, more compassionate environment for everyone.”

SARAC supports all genders and ethnicities over the age of 11 years old — as sexual abuse does not discriminate. This inclusive approach ensures no one is left behind in their journey to healing and justice.

Caroline Fotheringham SARAC interim CEO said: “Partnerships like this are invaluable. They help us extend our support network and build a stronger, more resilient community. We’re excited to see what this collaboration will bring.”

More details about upcoming activities will be shared in the coming weeks.
