JERICHO awarded for community work
Birmingham-based charity JERICHO earned a top award for its community work.
The organisation received the 2025 Community Business of the Year award, hosted by the Initiative for Social Enterprise.
The award recognises JERICHO’s ongoing commitment to supporting our local community and driving meaningful, positive change.
This award, presented at the recent 2025 Social Economy Drive at Anchor Point Church, celebrates social enterprises whose work makes a meaningful difference to the lives of people across the region.
For over 30 years, Jericho has worked tirelessly to provide support and work placements, that directly benefit individuals and families in need of employment support.
CEO Kate Webb said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been named Community Business of the Year by the Institute of Social Economy.
“This award shines a light on the incredible work of our colleagues, whose commitment and resilience deserve to be recognised.
“It also helps to raise Jericho’s profile across Birmingham, enabling us to attract more support and, ultimately, help even more people facing the toughest barriers to employment.
“We are deeply grateful for this recognition and incredibly proud of the work our colleagues do every single day.”
The Social Economy Drive week was a successful week of events hosted by the Initiative for Social Enterprise the celebrated social enterprises, promoted new connections and shared knowledge.
