Jerroms Miller launches outsourced specialist tax support service
Jerroms Miller, an award-winning Specialist Tax practice, has launched its Outsourced Tax Partner service, giving accountancy firms, lawyers, solicitors and corporate finance teams flexible access to senior tax expertise without the cost of maintaining an in-house tax function.
The service is designed to work alongside existing advisers, providing specialist support on complex tax matters, project work and corporate tax compliance and reviews, while allowing firms to remain the primary adviser to their clients.
Jerroms Miller work as an extension of the firm’s existing team, providing practical, specialist advice across areas including reconstructions and demergers, shareholder exits, management buyouts, employee share schemes, SEIS and EIS fundraising, succession planning and wider corporate tax advisory.
Firms can choose from three support packages depending on their needs. The packages are designed to provide firms with a consistent point of contact and the ability to access specialist support when required.
Jerroms Miller can work behind the scenes through the existing adviser relationship or, where appropriate, join client meetings alongside the firm. The packages also include a clear non-compete framework, designed to protect the firm’s client relationship and commercial position.
Nick Wright (pictured), ‘The Tax Hour’ podcast host and director at Jerroms Miller says: "Tax is getting more complicated, but that doesn't mean every firm needs its own tax team.
“Many professional firms are seeing increasingly complex tax issues arise within their client base as well as a need to provide proactive advice to clients, but that does not necessarily justify the cost or commitment of building an in-house specialist tax team.
“Our outsourced tax partner service is designed to give firms access to the expertise they need, when they need it, while allowing them to remain at the centre of the client relationship. It is a flexible way to strengthen a firm's tax offering and provide clients with access to specialist advice."
The service also provides firms with access to practical tax resources and training designed to strengthen their own teams.
Depending on the package selected, this includes quarterly or monthly webinars, support with identifying opportunities across an agreed client base, and attendance at key client meetings where technical expertise is required.
Firms can begin with a free, no-obligation discovery call to discuss their requirements and determine the level of support that is right for them.
