Judging panel announced for young professional awards

The Future Faces Chamber of Commerce (FF) have revealed the names of the people set to judge this year 's Future Faces Annual Dinner and Awards.

The awards ceremony will celebrate the achievements of young professionals across the region and is welcoming guests to celebrate live from the ICC in Birmingham on Friday 26 August at 7pm.

Chairing the judging panel this year is Chris Brewerton, divisional director for the Lichfield & Tamworth and Sutton Coldfield Chambers of Commerce.

Joining him on the panel are:

  • Lara Velasco Carrera, asociate director, WSP
  • Pam Sheemar, director of commercial banking, Stoke and Staffordshire, Natwest
  • Tru Powell, director, Alternative Events
  • Alex Bishop, national head of dispute resolution & litigation and co-head of Birmingham Office, Shoosmiths
  • Mark Smith, executive director of business engagement, Aston University
  • Louise Teboul, UK partnerships director, Common Purpose

Chris Brewerton said: “It 's a real honour to be asked to chair the Future Faces Awards judging committee for the first time. Future Faces is a vital part of the Chamber group, especially post-pandemic its role in supporting young professionals from across Greater Birmingham as well as helping introduce new businesspeople to the opportunities in being part of our organisation should not be underestimated.

“Our members across Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth have formed a key part of our local messaging about the division in recent years, with our young professionals from those areas enjoying numerous nominations and award wins for the first time so it 's great to be able to help advise and support the judging panel for what I 'm sure will be a very special night recognising young people throughout Greater Birmingham. ”
