Key public health figure to address Chamber report launch

A leading figure in public health at Birmingham City Council will address Chamber members at the launch of the latest Quarterly Business Report next week.

Dr Iheadi Onwukwe (pictured) is a consultant in public health and leads the business and strategy portfolio of the Test and Trace response for the Birmingham City Council.

He has consulted for various international and national agencies, NGOs, private sector organisations, EU delegations, UN agencies and other bilateral development partners.

Sponsored by Birmingham City University, the free webinar will focus on bridging the post pandemic skills gap in Greater Birmingham.

The event takes place on Thursday 23 September (8am to 9.15am).

The event will be chaired by Deborah Leary, vice-president of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and CEO of Forensic Pathways.

Delegates will also hear from Claire Hatton, head of skills delivery at the West Midlands Combined Authority on the role the WMCA will play to tackle long standing skills gaps in the region and create new employment pathways.
