Keynote speaker announced for Growth Through People conference

Deborah Hazell, chief executive officer at Unity Trust Bank has been announced as a keynote speaker at the Growth Through People Conference 2023.

Deborah will deliver a keynote address at this year 's Growth Through People Conference, to be held on Wednesday 10 May. Growth Through People is a flagship Chamber Campaign which looks to support businesses to increase their productivity through improved people management skills.

Deborah was formerly chief executive officer of HSBC Global Asset Management (USA) Inc. and regional head of HSBC Global Asset Management, Americas, where she oversaw the asset management businesses in Bermuda, Brazil, Canada, Mexico and Argentina.

Prior to joining HSBC in June 2011, she served as President and chief executive officer of Fischer Francis Trees & Watts (FFTW), a global firm specializing in institutional fixed income asset management. She previously headed the firm 's client service, business development and marketing group while leading and building the firm's central bank and official institutions business.

Her previous roles have included portfolio management and investment responsibilities in New York and London with UBS Asset Management, Chase Investors and Saudi International Bank.
