Ed Grigg of IncorporateWear has been announced as a keynote speaker at the Quarterly Business Report launch event.

The event will take place on Tuesday, 18 July at Birmingham City University. The Quarterly Business Report offers an up to date snapshot of the performance of the Greater Birmingham business community.

Ed (pictured) will be one of two panellists to deliver talks about his company 's involvement in the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games and the wider legacy for the city one year on from the sporting event.

Ed has over 25 years ' experience in the clothing and textile industry. He learnt his craft initially when working with UK manufacturers.

This grounding and experience led him to various management positions at leading corporate clothing companies including Allen & Douglas, Faithful, Alexandra and Mens Wearhouse UK before joining Incorporatewear in 2014 where he soon progressed from head of key accounts to his current position of managing director.

Ed is also a non-executive Director of the PCIAW (Professional Clothing Institute Association Worldwide).

IncorporateWear, based on Coleshill, won a contract to design the official uniform which was worn by the Games ' 14,000-strong cohort of volunteers.

Now a well-established feature in the local business calendar, these high-quality events attract a senior level audience of around 60 people for networking, discussion and intelligence sharing.

Our flagship economic publication, it is the most comprehensive regular report of its kind in the city-region.

Underpinning the report is data gathered from quarterly surveys completed by businesses from across the Greater Birmingham area.

Raj Kandola, director of external affairs, said: “We are delighted that Ed will be joining us for the launch of our latest Quarterly Business Report which will focus on the economic legacy of the 2022 Commonwealth Games for our region.

“Attendees will hear from Ed firsthand on how he secured this contract from the Games and what it means for his business moving forward.

“I 'm sure there will be lots of fascinating discussions on how we can harness the legacy of the Games to ensure it delivers long term benefits for the region. ”

The Quarterly Business Report event is delivered in partnership with Chamber patron Birmingham City University. Delegates in attendance will have the opportunity to receive a copy of the report and watch a detailed presentation of the results and wider trends, followed by keynote talks on the legacy of the Commonwealth Games, and finally ending with an audience Q&A session.
