Kids' Village charity seeks volunteer support as part of £5m fundraising drive
Lichfield-headquartered charity Kids’ Village has launched an appeal for volunteers as part of the next phase of a fundraising drive bring its £5m project to life.
The charity is seeking to raise £5m to build the UK’s first holiday resort providing free breaks for critically ill children and their family.
As the capital fundraising project enters a crucial phase, Kids’ Village is seeking help from local volunteers who are available to support activities and events across the region.
The Kids’ Village, which will be built in the Staffordshire countryside, is inspired by founder and childhood cancer survivor Sam Fletcher-Goodwin from Lichfield.
The charity is a patron of the Lichfield & Tamworth and Asian Business Chambers of Commerce.
Katrina Cooke (pictured), CEO of Kids’ Village charity, said: “We are entering an exciting next phase of our capital fundraising project and are looking for enthusiastic, local volunteers to join our fundraising activity and join us at a range of events across the West Midlands.
“This is an opportunity to make a difference and be part of the legacy of Kids' Village and our sprint to raise the funds, build Kids' Village and start supporting children living with critical illness and families in need.”
