Kids’ Village expands team with new partnerships manager
Kids’ Village has strengthened its growing team with the appointment of Sian Burr as corporate partnerships manager.
Sian becomes the charity’s fourth team member as it continues to build momentum towards opening Charlotte’s Kids’ Village.
Kids’ Village will be the UK’s first holiday village exclusively offering gifted holidays to critically ill children and their families to enjoy a magical break together.
The first site, Charlotte’s Kids’ Village in Staffordshire, is currently under construction and will welcome its first families in 2027.
Sian joins from Deliveroo and brings more than 10 years’ experience in partnerships and relationship management.
In her new role, she will focus on developing and managing corporate partnerships, building relationships with existing supporters and attracting new partners to help bring the charity’s vision to life.
Sian Burr said: “I am incredibly excited to be joining the team at such a pivotal moment. Kids Village is bringing to life the UK’s first holiday village for critically ill children, and it’s inspiring to be part of a project that will make such a meaningful difference to families across the country.
“With over 10 years’ experience in partnerships, I look forward to contributing my knowledge and expertise to support this truly remarkable cause.”
Katrina Cooke, chief executive of Kids’ Village, said: “We’re delighted to welcome Sian to the team at such an important stage in our journey.
“Thanks to the incredible support we’ve received, we’ve grown from a start-up charity to raising more than £5 million to fund the build of Charlotte’s Kids’ Village.
“Corporate partners have played a vital role in helping us reach this point, and Sian will now lead our work to strengthen existing partnerships while welcoming new organisations to join us on the journey.
“It’s a very exciting time for the charity, with construction progressing on site and further recruitment, including our on-site roles, planned later this year. Welcome, Sian!”
