KWB completes steel giant's office move and fit out
KWB Workplace has completed global steel production giant ArcelorMittal 's relocation to their new offices at Friars Gate in Solihull.
The 45-strong team are now fully operational in their new 7,060 sq ft office space at the building off the A34 Stratford Road.
Led by KWB Workplace director Adrian Southall (pictured), the process included:
- Bespoke office design, planning and fit out with new kitchen, break out areas, meeting rooms and branding
- Relocation and installation of furniture and IT equipment from ArcelorMittal 's previous office at Fore Business Park
- Completion of dilapidations works at the previous offices to meet landlord specifications.
Karen Reading, company secretary at ArcelorMittal said: “We 're really happy with KWB 's work and delighted to be in our new office. It 's bright and airy and really suits our needs. We needed a smaller space in a convenient location with parking and this fits the bill perfectly.
“We used KWB for our last office move 10 years ago and it was a no brainer to use them again. We trust Adrian implicitly and he 's so accommodating. He 's like a member of the team and moves the goal posts when needed. ”
Adrian added: “I 'm really pleased to see ArcelorMittal settled into their new base and it was great to work with them again.
“This was a complex job and I 'd like to thank the various contractors for their hard work in getting it across the line and to budget.
“Having previously moved Caterpillar Financial into the ground floor of Friars Gate meant we also had that experience to build on. ”
