Law firm advises cyber experts on £3.6m fundraising
Birmingham law firm Shakespeare Martineau has advised cyber security and risk management experts Crossword Cybersecurity Plc on an oversubscribed fundraising of approximately £3.6 million.
Crossword Cybersecurity Plc offers a range of cybersecurity solutions to help companies understand and reduce cybersecurity risk. Crossword 's areas of emphasis are supply chain, cyber, threat detection and response, cybersecurity strategy and risk, as well as digital identity.
The technology commercialisation company will invest the funds into sales and marketing resource for product development, geographical expansion to support the 24/7 monitoring services, and general working capital purposes.

It is the second placing a week the team has advised on following a subscription for Cizzle Biotechnology Holdings, which is a cancer diagnostics spin-out from the University of York.
Shakespeare Martineau provides legal advice in life and business, delivering a broad range of specialist legal services with experience in sectors such as healthcare, banking and finance, agriculture and social housing to name but a few.
