Law firm backs Chamber sustainability campaign
Law firm Shakespeare Martineau has been confirmed as a headline sponsor for a major sustainability campaign led by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.
The company - which has an office in Colmore Row, Birmingham - joins the University of Birmingham and Aston University as a main sponsor for the 2022 Sustainable Business Series.
Shakespeare Martineau works with organisations of all sizes, delivering a range of specialist legal services.
It has expertise across multiple areas including to energy, education, banking and finance, healthcare, investment funds, manufacturing, agriculture, family business, Islamic finance, later living, social housing, charities and real estate.
Shakespeare Martineau also provides services for families and private clients.
The Sustainable Business Series campaign aims to share best practice, guidance and knowledge to improve business know-how and progression to net zero.
Running throughout October, the Series will cover a series of topics including:
- Managing Energy Costs
- Lowering your company 's carbon footprint
- Developing low carbon products and services
- Decarbonisation in key sectors
- Climate risk and adaptation- the role of business
The campaign will culminate with the Sustainable Business Series Conference on 2 November, taking place at The Exchange in Centenary Square.
