Law firm donates £3,000 to hospice charity
Property lawyers Davisons Law has donated over £3000 for the Birmingham Hospice charity.
The law firm have also made several donations this year, raising and donating money for Cancer Research, and Child of Mine, and The Children's Trust to name a few.
This year the firm has continued to grow, breaking into the top six conveyancing firms in the UK. Raising money for charities and supporting the local community remains very important to us.
Managing director Gary Davison said: We are pleased that our donation will be able to help such a great cause. The work the Hospice does is vital to ensure people and their families get comfort in at a very difficult time. As well as this, it is a local charity within our community, and we are happy to give something back."
Birmingham Hospice is the primary provider of adult hospice care in the city and its surrounding areas. On average, they care for 1000 patients each day who have a variety of complex conditions including cardiovascular diseases, chronic respiratory diseases, kidney failure and complex neurological conditions including Motor Neurone Disease, as well as cancer.
Birmingham Hospice individual giving manager Kerry McGrath said: “We are so grateful to Davisons Law for making this donation to Birmingham Hospice. Donations are vital to us to help us to continue to provide specialist care and support to our patients living with a terminal diagnosis.”
The donation means that Davisons has met their target of raising over £50,000 for charity by the end of the financial year as the company continues to priorities raising money for great causes while growing itself.
Birmingham Hospice aims to give patients and families more choice, provide specialist services whenever and wherever needed, and help people across Birmingham to live well with their illness, right up to the very end of life.
Birmingham Hospice brings together the services from Birmingham St Mary's Hospice, based in Selly Park, and John Taylor Hospice, based in Erdington.
The two hospices merged in August 2021 to form one single registered charity - The Hospice Charity Partnership. This merger ensured the charity was able to provide even more people across the city with the compassionate end of life and palliative care they deserved.
