Lawyers Arts Club (LAC) - an organisation set up by a lawyer and a talented artist - launches with an exhibition in Birmingham next week.

LAC was formed in 2020 by lawyer Paris Theodorou and artist Alexander Mahrra to provide a platform where members can engage, create and collaborate on arts projects and legal discussion.

The LAC is building a global network of members as a collective of expert minds in the law and the arts.

The exhibition between 2 and 30 September at Digbeth Art Space in Gibb Street showcases the talent of two young local artists.

Birmingham-based artists Harri Hampson and George Cox have created a series of handmade artworks each with a legal narrative for the exhibition - with more than 60 original artworks on display for the first time on the opening night.

Paris Theodorou, local councillor and head of Theodorous, said: “This long-awaited launch was originally meant to take place in London in 2020 but due to covid it had to be delayed.

“We are delighted to be launching the LAC here in Birmingham, a city known for its legal circuit and its passion for the arts. ”

The opening night is guest-list only and tickets can be secured exclusively here.

The exhibition opens to the public on Friday September and runs through to Thursday 30 September.

Throughout the month of September, LAC will be holding multiple events and talks in the exhibition space, surrounded by the organisation 's original artwork.
