Business leaders, including the chief executive of Cobra Biologics, one of two manufacturers of the AstraZeneca Covid vaccine, will be speaking during the first virtual Staffordshire Ambassador event.

The event, taking place on 9 February between 2pm and 3.30pm, will feature talks from Peter Coleman, who heads up Keele-based Cobra Biologics, Chris Langdon, development and investment director at Engie, Hannah Ault, director at Valentine Clays and chair of the Staffordshire Place Board and Louisa Grocott, place brand manager for the Staffordshire Ambassador project.

The project, unveiled in November, aims to build an ambassador group for Staffordshire, to bring together businesses, education, the public sector, third sector and many other organisations to put the county on the map.

Ambassadors will share their stories of living and working in the region, as well as developments which are shaping the county.

The scheme has been organised by Staffordshire County Council.
