Leaders sought to be Covid Business Champions
Business leaders are being sought to demonstrate their exemplary Covid standards and practices, via a new Birmingham-based ambassadorial scheme.
Birmingham City Council and Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce are looking to recruit Covid Business Champions, which will receive first-hand public health knowledge and information to share across their networks.
Business Champions will be ambassadors for first-class Covid-19 practice in the workplace, and have the opportunity to share their views of the business community with Birmingham City Council, and gain exposure within the wider business community.
Here's Henrietta Brealey, chief executive of the Chambers, discussing why leaders should consider being a Business Champion
Emily Stubbs (pictured), policy and projects manager at the Chamber, said that the Business Champions scheme is a unique opportunity to highlight work done by businesses to keep customers and staff safe throughout the health crisis.
She said: “Throughout this pandemic, businesses have gone above and beyond to ensure the safety of their people and their customers. Becoming a Covid-19 business champion is a unique opportunity to highlight the brilliant work your business has done, and share your experiences with fellow businesses and Birmingham City Council as we continue to navigate through these challenging times.
“As Covid-19 cases rise in Birmingham, we all have a crucial part to play in bringing instances of the virus back down. For the latest intelligence from Birmingham Public Health, as well as an overview of the support available, and a case study on how Millennium Point have adapted to the pandemic, I highly encourage readers to attend our upcoming webinar, Unlocking Safely - Covid Support and Guidance for Businesses. ”
