Leaders to talk inclusivity at Chamber conference

Academics and business leaders from NatWest, Aston University and BMet College will be discussing inclusivity throughout industry, during a panel discussion as part of a virtual conference, taking place tomorrow, being delivered by Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce.

The final tranche of panellists due to speak at the Chamber 's Growth Through People conference has been revealed by organisers.

The virtual conference is part of the Chamber 's month-long, annual Growth Through People campaign designed to help firms boost productivity through improved leadership and people management skills.

The online conference will focus on topical leadership and people management challenges following the impacts of Brexit and Covid-19.

The final speaker line up includes Sarah Cooper-Jones, head of Coaching and Capability at NatWest Bank, Professor Monder Ram (pictured), director of the Centre for Research in Ethnic Minority Entrepreneurship (CR�ME) at Aston University, connector, community builder and consultant Mikayla Jones, and Pat Carvalho, incoming principal of BMet College.

Sarah, Monder, Mikayla and Pat will participate in a panel discussion on achieving inclusivity throughout industry.

The online conference will also feature a 'regrouping exercise ' led by Keith Ward, lecturer at University College Birmingham and end with a session led by Stuart Bailey, head of People Transformation at Chamber patron Curium Solutions.

Jess Phillips MP and Baroness Ruby McGregor-Smith will deliver keynote addresses at the conference on empowering individuals to reach their full potential and authentic leadership in times of change.

It will also feature a practical workshop and further panel discussions, and provide an opportunity to network with other local leaders, managers and decision makers from businesses looking to grow through the adoption of new, best-practice ideas.

The conference is free to attend.
