Legendary goalkeeper to appear at Birmingham event in aid of Cure Leukaemia
The Sporting Club will host an evening of football nostalgia, laughter and fundraising in support of blood cancer charity Cure Leukaemia – when it welcomes former Premier League goalkeeper Ben Foster.
The event takes place at the newly-established Sporting Club venue, The Metro Club, on Tuesday 21 October.
It’s an opportunity to meet a popular figure in English football, who played for Manchester United, Watford, Birmingham City, West Bromwich, Wrexham and England.
Foster (pictured) became a central figure in the popular ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ TV series alongside the club’s Hollywood owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney as the club won promotion to the Football League.
He now fronts the hugely successful Fozcast podcast.
Open to all Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce members, attendees will have a great opportunity to network complete with drinks, and refreshments, plus the chance to connect with prominent business and sports personalities from across the region.
The event will also raise awareness and funds for Birmingham-headquartered charity Cure Leukaemia, a key supporter of groundbreaking clinical trials for blood cancer treatment across the UK.
The Sporting Club, known for its exclusive membership and star-studded events, continues to grow across the UK with its expansion into Birmingham.
