One of Lichfield’s most cherished summer traditions – Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park - is returning.

The popular event is back this September, with an evening of live music, community spirit and entertainment.

Now in its 26th year, Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park regularly attracts thousands of residents and visitors, bringing people together for a joyful celebration of music in the heart of the city.

This year’s event will take place on Saturday 6 September 2025. In addition to free general entry, bookings are now open for a range of attendance options with paid upgrades for those who want to enhance their experience.

Options include prime reserved seating at tables for four or six people, deck chair hire for relaxed viewing, gazebo pitches for groups who want to bring their own setup and pre-booked on-site parking.

This year’s musical line-up will include performances from the City of Lichfield Concert Band - a 45-piece community wind band made up of talented musicians of all ages from across the district.

Their programme features a mix of popular classical pieces, toe-tapping medleys, jazz, film scores and pop favourites.

There will also be another performance by the British Police Symphony Orchestra.

Councillor Phil Whitehouse, Lichfield District Council’s Cabinet Member Operational Services, Parks & Waste, said: “Lichfield Proms in Beacon Park is one of the highlights of our calendar – a chance for the whole community to come together, enjoy wonderful live music and make special memories in a beautiful setting.

“We’re proud to offer this event free of charge to the public, but that’s only possible thanks to the support of our sponsors, volunteers and donations on the evening. I’d encourage everyone to secure their spot and get involved in what promises to be another fantastic night.”
