In the latest episode of Future Faces: The Young Professionals Podcast, listeners hear from Paul Faulkner, regional vice chairman of Barclays Bank and Deputy Lieutenant of the West Midlands.

In this episode, Paul talks about his successful career journey and how he became the CEO of Aston Villa football club at 31 years old.

He discusses how stepping out of your comfort zone is the key to accelerating your success and how you can be a confident leader in whatever profession you choose.

Sophie Poduval-Morrell, manager of Future Faces, said: “It was insightful to have Paul on the podcast.

His advice and knowledge about becoming a successful leader and stepping out of your comfort zone will be really valuable to our young professionals, and I hope they go forward and take something from it in their career journeys.”

Paul said: “If you don’t step out of your comfort zone, nothing happens. You have got to take advantage of the opportunities given. The harder you work, the luckier you get, and I really believe in that.

"My advice for potential leaders is to be great, be you, live it, think about it all of the time, and lead in everything you do.”

If you want to get in touch with Paul, you can find him on LinkedIn or contact Sophie at Future Faces Chamber of Commerce to make an introduction.
