Literary festival set to return with bigger line-up and family day
Following the success of its inaugural event last year, the Rugby Literary Festival is set to return to Rugby Town Centre from Friday, 3 to Sunday, 5 October 2025.
Organised by Rugby First in partnership with local author and business owner Lindsay Woodward, the festival will expand on last year’s achievements with an even bigger and more diverse programme of events under the theme “The Lost Chapter.”
The three-day celebration promises a fun, creative and educational line up, including storytelling, workshops for all ages, book fairs, author talks, discussion panels and much more.
This year, the festival has announced the support of Tritax Big Box, who are sponsoring a special Family Day on Sunday, 5 October. Families can look forward to free workshops, a story trail and exciting giveaways for children, ensuring the festival continues to be inclusive and inspiring for all ages.
Linda Lowne, Rugby First business director, said: “Last year’s festival proved extremely popular and attracted both local people and visitors from further afield. The festival is a great way to shine a light on the town as well as support local businesses through increased footfall, spend and awareness.”
Local author Lindsay Woodward added: “I am really pleased that the festival is returning again as it proved so popular last year. I am very excited by the varied line up from such incredible local talent. We urge people to book early, where applicable, as many events are likely to fill up quickly.”
