Kim Hulse, founder of K Hulse Consulting, has been shortlisted for Entrepreneur of the Year at the Birmingham Business Awards 2025, now celebrating its 10th anniversary of recognising business excellence across the region.

The nomination shines a light on Kim’s growing impact in place marketing, support for high street businesses, and community engagement, where her consultancy has supported towns, local authorities, and business improvement districts to celebrate what makes their places unique.

Since founding K Hulse Consulting, Kim has worked with clients across the UK helping to boost tourism, community pride, and high street vitality.

In addition to destination marketing, Kim also works closely with high street and independent businesses, providing practical support with retail and marketing strategy. By collaborating with other specialists, K Hulse Consulting helps deliver business support programmes on behalf of local councils and place-making organisations.

This hands-on approach helps businesses tell their town’s story, strengthen their brand, and attract greater footfall to local high streets.

Kim Hulse, director of K Hulse Consulting, said: “It’s an incredible honour to be shortlisted among so many inspiring business leaders. K Hulse Consulting was born out of a passion for helping High Streets thrive - seeing that work make a real difference to local communities is what drives me every day. Being recognised by the Birmingham Business Awards is truly the icing on the cake.”

Now in its 10th year, the Birmingham Business Awards celebrate innovation, resilience, and achievement across the city and wider region. Winners will be announced at a gala event tomorrow, 17 October.
