Local school announces sponsorship from flooring experts
Balsall Common Primary School have announced a sponsorship with Direct Carpets & Flooring, after it came apparent that the Year 5 and 6 boys football team urgently needed new kit.
Andy, owner of Direct Carpets & Flooring, said: “We are thrilled to be the proud sponsors of our local primary school’s Year 5 & 6 boys football team! As a local business, we take immense pride in supporting our community, and sponsoring with these football kits is just one way we show our commitment.”
The Year 5 and 6 boys football team have now had their 1st football tournament wearing their new kit. Looking professional and united, the team, through some brilliant play, won their game, and has now qualified for the next stage.
Alex, the team’s Captain said: “It is cool to represent school and have the support of a local business. The kit is great and the team is really happy to be sponsored – Thanks Andy!”
The Year 5 and 6 boys football team played their first two league matches of the year. In the first match, they played Dorridge (last year’s champions) and narrowly lost 1-0 after a deflected shot dipped past the Balsall goalkeeper. In the second half, the team kept pushing for a goal and Tommy T had a brilliant shot tipped over the bar. The team had a further 6 impressive shots but their keeper kept them in the game.
Andy continued: “We want to give a big shout-out to the incredible team for their first win! Way to go, boys! We can't wait to see the boys rocking their new kits on the field again! Let's cheer them on and celebrate their passion for the beautiful game.”
