A new in-person networking group is launching – with a focus on marketing, mindset and money.

Fireside Chat Networking is the brainchild of Sutton Coldfield-based copywriter Anita Ellis, who set up her business Lexicomm during the Covid-19 lockdown.

Aimed at firms in Sutton Coldfield, Lichfield and Tamworth, the event series will put an expert in marketing, mindset or money in the spotlight in a fireside chat format.

The first guest in the hotseat is marketing expert Sophie Blackmore, author of ‘It’s only Bloody Marketing’.

Anita said: “I’ve realised that to run a successful business, you have to master three things; marketing, mindset and money.

“So, I’m on a mission to create a networking group that helps business owners improve all three, learn something ‘business-changing’ and ask their burning questions.

“For me, the best networking is always informative, playful and fun so there'll be no pitch slaps, formal frostiness or corporate claptrap - but there will be cookies and the chance to shoot some pool.”

Fireside Chat Networking launches on Thursday 11 June and will take place on the second Thursday of every month from 5.30pm to 7.30pm at Harvest Fields Centre in Mere Green.

Fifty spaces will be available each month.

Phillippa Gilmour, from host venue Harvest Fields Centre, said: “We're all about bringing the local community together so we're chuffed that Anita has chosen to host Fireside Chat Networking at Harvest Fields.

“We also offer free co-working at the centre so it's the perfect fit for a new business networking group.”

Tickets are now on sale for the first Fireside Chat Networking event.
