What is your name, job title, and organisation?
Rhiannon Moody, Associate Solicitor at Weightmans LLP (Property Litigation)
On the Future Faces committee, which working group are you part of and why?
I would love to be involved with the mentoring side of things
What does your day-to-day role involve?
My day-to-day role is varied but typically involves managing disputes relating to property and housing matters, in particular advising clients, preparing case strategy and representing clients within settlement negotiations and court proceedings.
Why did you decide to join the committee?
After joining Future Faces, my attitude towards networking shifted. I began building meaningful connections and attended various professional development events which have helped me build confidence both professionally and within my personal life.
I therefore decided to join the committee, so that I could contribute with supporting and connecting young professionals within the Brimingham region.
What are you most looking forward to achieving or contributing on the committee?
I’m particularly looking forward to contributing towards the mentoring side of the committee (if possible) to help to create opportunities for young professionals to connect, learn and build confidence in their careers.
I feel that accessible mentoring opportunities are so valuable and it is something that I wished was more widely available when I was a trainee/ getting my foot in the door within the legal profession.
What do you see as the biggest opportunity for Future Faces right now?
Retaining and developing young talent within the region via cross-sector collaboration such as mentoring and professional development training.

The energy and diversity of the city
