Members team up to host charity golf day

Lichfield and Tamworth Chamber 's chosen charity, Number Eight Tamworth, is calling for support as it prepares to host its inaugural charity golf day - in partnership with Drayton Park Golf Club.

The event is taking place on the morning of Wednesday 12 April.

The charity, which supports young mums to be and their babies by offering housing, education and wider support, is partnering with members of the golf club situated next to Drayton Manor Park to raise money for a vital local cause.

Dawn Candy, operations manager for Number Eight Tamworth, said: “It is very exciting to be hosting our inaugural golf day with such generous help from both the ladies and men 's members of Drayton Park Golf Club.

“With friendly competition, a two-course lunch and various raffle prizes and fundraising initiatives as part of the day we hope to raise much needed funds for our girls and their young families. ”
