Mental health charity boss to take reins at Birmingham Law Society

Calum Nisbet, the chief executive of West Midlands mental health charity The Kaleidoscope Plus Group, is to become the new CEO of Birmingham Law Society.

Mr Nisbet has past experience of membership organisations, having previously been the West Midlands regional director for the Institute of Directors and the commercial director for the Black Country Chamber of Commerce.

He also a Deputy Lieutenant for the West Midlands region.

BLS chair Peter Brewer said: “I am absolutely delighted that we have managed to recruit someone of Calum’s calibre into this crucial, senior role.

“Calum is well known in Birmingham and the broader region, and will bring ideas and vision to the Society as we look to develop it into the near future.

“I think I can speak on behalf of all of my fellow directors and other officers of the society when I say that we are really looking forward to having him on board.”

BLS is the largest provincial law society in England and Wales, with more than 9,000 members.
