Mental health consultancy secures trio of award nominations
Mental health consultancy Bloomwise has had a strong start to 2023, securing three finalist positions in the Midlands StartUp Awards.
Each year in the UK, £56 billion is lost to poor workplace mental health and around 25 per cent of the UK population experience mental health conditions at some point in their life.
Bloomwise state they provide much-needed proactive workplace mental health solutions that improve workplace productivity, increase attraction and retention of staff, and give employers insights into key value data showing the health of their organisation.

The Midlands StartUp awards recognise excellence in new businesses, and will take place on 18 May. Winning these awards will push Bloomwise closer to their goal of becoming a name that is synonymous with workplace mental health.
Bloomwise has secured finalist positions in the Midlands StartUp awards for the 'Rising Star of the Year ' and 'Business to Business Services of the Year ' awards. Frankie has also been shortlisted for the 'Young Entrepreneur of the Year ' award.
The company was founded back in 2020 by PhD students Frankie Lewns and Dr. Paris Alexandros Lalousis during a consultancy challenge at the University of Birmingham. The two co-founders complement each other with their unique set of skills and their personal experiences with mental health.
In a span of two years, Paris 's expertise in artificial intelligence and machine learning in mental health, paired with Frankie 's background in healthcare communications, has created a solid foundation for a profitable business with a strong social impact.
Bloomwise provides three core services that tackle unmet needs in the world of workplace mental health. Their workplace mental health app empowers users to track their workplace health and mental health. It helps employers identify trends but also gaps that needs to be addressed to alleviate poor mental health in the workplace.
The app integrates artificial intelligence, giving both personal and organisational-level recommendations, allowing Bloomwise to make real-world impacts on individuals and businesses.
Their 'Mental Health Plan ' helps employers to develop a bespoke frameworks for mental health within their organisation, that take into account the businesses ' unique needs and circumstances. Bloomwise also empowers and educates workforces to feel more confident when talking about mental health, through their mental health workshops.
