Mental health trainer extends sponsorship of girls’ football team

Lichfield-based Beacon Mental Health Training has extended its sponsorship of Burntwood Phoenix Flames U12 girls' football team for a third consecutive year - kitting the squad out in a brand new strip.

The team, who finished runners-up in last season's Staffordshire Girls and Ladies U11 Cup, are aiming for another strong campaign this season.

Beacon Mental Health Training, founded by Amanda Jackson, is marking 10 years in business this year and provides workplace mental health and wellbeing training to employers across the UK.

Brad Martin, manager and coach of Burntwood Phoenix Flames, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Beacon Mental Health Training for their continued support to our football club as our main sponsor.

“This has helped kit all of our girls out in a brand new strip at no expense to the parents. We don't take the sponsorship for granted and appreciate the much needed support.”

Amanda Jackson said the sponsorship reflected her personal commitment to supporting the next generation through girls' football.

“Running my own business gives me the opportunity to support causes that are important to me personally, and sponsoring my daughter's football team for the third year running is something I'm particularly proud of,” she said.

“Girls' football is getting stronger and is about so much more than kicking a ball around. It's giving the next generation opportunities to develop resilience, leadership, teamwork, confidence and the ability to support one another, qualities that will serve them well both on and off the pitch.”
