Meriden MP appointed to Minister in the Department of Science, Innovation and Technology
Previous Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce President and current MP for Meriden Saqib Bhatti has been appointed as a Minister in the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology.
Saqib Bhatti (pictured) will step down from his roles as Principal Private Secretary to Secretary of State Lucy Frazer, Business vice-chair of the Conservative Party, and his role serving on the Foreign Affairs Select Committee, in order to take on his new Minster position.
Speaking on his new position, Saqib said: “As a nation, we are on the brink of huge innovation and I am so excited by the possibilities and opportunities that lie ahead for us.”
