Jumar, a Midlands-based digital specialist, has been recognised as one of 2023 UK's Best Workplaces in Tec.

The list was launched by Great Place To Work UK, recognising Jumar among the list of top 100 organisations in the small and medium size category.

This accolade underscores Jumar's commitment to fostering a workplace that values its employees and provides an environment where they can thrive.

Jumar has always strived to create a workplace that prioritises its people and their wellbeing. The company's recognition is driven by its dedication to several key principles including flexible working arrangements and positive company culture, the Jumar wellbeing group, supporting LGBTQ+ colleagues, having mental health responders, and being carbon neutral.

One Jumar employee said: "Jumar is one of the best companies I have worked for and seems to be doing everything to make working as enjoyable as possible."

In 2022, Jumar launched its Wellbeing Group, a dedicated initiative focused on promoting employee wellbeing using four pillars as guiding principles: mental, physical, financial, and social wellbeing. The group organises various activities and offers support to help our team members lead healthier and more balanced lives.

Activities include an annual 'Wellbeing Week', lunch and learn sessions, sharing one-minute messages on environmentally friendly hacks, and providing opportunities to work with the local community. Our team members have actively engaged in activities such as singing for care home residents at Christmas and supporting a local homeless charity by donating their old shoes.

Jumar is also committed to making a positive impact on society. To this end, they allocate two social value days per year to each of our employees.

These days are dedicated to giving back to our communities and making a difference in the lives of others. A group of Jumar team members recently spent a day volunteering with the Heart of England Forest, contributing to reforestation efforts and preserving our natural environment.

CEO of Jumar, Wendy Merricks (pictured), commented, "This recognition is a testament to the incredible individuals who make up the Jumar team.

“We are proud of our commitment to providing a workplace where our people can excel and grow. This award is not only a celebration of our past achievements but also a commitment to continue improving and supporting our employees in the future."

Sarah Wright, people director at Jumar added, “As we celebrate our recognition as one of the 2023 UK's Best Workplaces in Tech, I want to thank our incredible team members who make Jumar a great place to work.

“Their dedication, passion, and commitment have been instrumental in achieving this recognition.”

The Best Workplaces in Tech list celebrates companies adept at developing dynamic, collaborative cultures that serve as a catalyst for innovation and personal growth for all.

Great Place To Work UK administered its research-backed Trust Index employee survey and analysed the responses of UK-based tech employees to determine the Best Workplaces list.

The surveys asked employees to comment on how their company supports their work-life balance, sense of fulfilment, job satisfaction, psychological safety and financial security. Evaluations also included an assessment of how well the organisation was able to deliver consistency of their employee experience across all departments and seniority levels.
