Mondel?z International becomes an 'Employer with Heart '

In the UK, Mondel?z International have signed up to the 'Smallest Things Best Employer Charter ' and have become an 'Employer with Heart ' supporting the needs of premature babies and their families.

As part of this partnership the company have announced the following enhancements to their Family Leave Policy in the UK regarding prematurity:

• If your baby is born prematurely the birth mother will be entitled to full pay until what would have been the 37th week of pregnancy. At this point your Maternity/Shared Parental Leave will commence.
• In addition to a partners 2 weeks statutory paternity leave they will be entitled to an 2 additional weeks of full pay.

In the UK, there are 60,000 premature babies born a year, that 's 1 in 13 babies. Once a premature baby is born, this is the start of a long journey for parents and can vary greatly depending on how early the baby was born.
