Moors sign midfielder from Crewe Alexandra

Solihull Moors have strengthened in the midfield with the loan signing of Crewe Alexandra 's Josh Lundstram.

The 22-year-old, comfortable in the heart of the midfield as well as right back, will remain at the ARMCO Arena until 14 January.

Lundstram graduated from the Alex academy in the summer of 2017 and made his Football League debut last September.

He has benefitted from loan spells at Sandbach United, Newcastle Town, Kidsgrove Athletic and Nuneaton Borough.

More recently, Lundstram was part of the 2019/20 Altrincham squad who gained promotion from the National League North play-offs.

The midfielder signed a new two-year contract with Crewe in the summer, before making his first league start in August.

He has clocked up 16 appearances in all competitions this season, including nine in League One.

Upon signing for Moors, Lundstram said: “It 's a good opportunity for me to come and play some games so I 'm looking forward to it.

“It seems like a great club and the set-up is brilliant, hopefully I 'll enjoy my spell here.

“It 's great coming into a place when the team is winning, and the spirits are high. We 've got a lot of big games coming up, so we need to continue that if we want to keep pushing towards promotion. ”

Lundstram will wear the squad number 28 and is eligible for tomorrow 's Buildbase FA Trophy clash at AFC Fylde.
