Additional award category sponsors have been announced for this year 's Future Faces and Birmingham Young Professional of the Year (BYPY) awards.

This year 's flagship event will take place on 27 August and will be a joint celebration of the region 's young professionals following Future Faces' merger with Business Professional Services (BPS) Birmingham last year.

Sponsoring this year 's Future Face of Finance award is renowned bank and financial services company HSBC UK.

Iain Heath, head of emerging talent at HSBC Bank UK, said: “HSBC UK is delighted to support the Finance category at the combined BYPY / Future Faces Awards 2021.

“There is an exciting and deep pool of talent in Birmingham and across the West Midlands, with the Awards being a great opportunity to recognise just some of the individuals who have demonstrated exceptional potential to thrive in our industry. We look forward to coming together this August and wish all who have entered the best of luck. ”

Sponsoring the newly created Future Face of Sustainability award is law firm Squire Patton Boggs Birmingham.

Charles Frost, office managing partner at Squire Patton Boggs Birmingham (pictured), said: “As a proud Patron of the Greater Birmingham Chambers of Commerce and a long time sponsor of the Birmingham Young Professional of the Year, we are delighted that Future Faces is taking these awards forward in 2021, continuing the well-deserved recognition of our City 's young professionals.

“Through our commitment to being a globally responsible business, we are pleased to sponsor the Future Face of Sustainability award, not only to champion what is being achieved, but also to spread best practice and inspire others. ”

Energy consultants Inspired Energy will also sponsor the Future Face of Industry award.

“Sponsoring the Industry category is a great opportunity for us - being a large proportion of our client base - as we help corporate businesses prepare for a more sustainable future and reach their Net Zero goals. We cannot wait to see who the rising star winner will be in the category on the night, so a big good luck to all the candidates! ”
